Drive Rebuild via Parity

Have a large drive that has issues and needs replaced.

Curious if anyone has a per terabyte time for drive rebuilds.

Or in this case an 8tb drive.

    A good rule of thumb is that it will take about the same time as it does to do the first 8TB of a parity check on your system.
     

    After all a rebuild has to write every sector on the drive as fast as possible and the parity check reads every sector as fast as possible so they tend to be comparable.
