Resize Ubuntu VM (initramfs) ALERT! UUID error

Featured Replies

any1 know how to fix this? I tried to resize my ubuntu VM from 500G to 400G. used gparted live cd and then unraid terminal cmd used: qemu-img resize --shrink /mnt/file.img 400G

Now whenever I start it up I get the following:

If the disk is ok, it seems the uuid of the disk changed. The old uuid should be in the fstab file (/etc/fstab): to fix this you could boot the live distro and chroot into the existing installation to modify the fstab file.

In any case thank you for helping me.
