Tuinboon
UNRAID V6.9.2 on a HP ProDesk 400 g4 Intel i3T 16 GB RAM NVMe 128GB Cache Data all on WD elements, WD MyBooks Most important Docker: Plex Important VM: Windows 10 (for the kids and their school stuff) Hello unraid loving people, My problems started when I wanted to swap disk 1 (SSD) for a WD Studio drive (for Mac) with the aim of adding the SSD as second cache drive. This resulted in the Studio not wanting to mount and after placing the SSD back in slot 1 a paritydisk in error. Tried different things following topics on forums but ended with Disk 5 unmountable and a paritydisk error state. I really believe I made a mess trying to fix things myself. I checked and can’t find any real errors on both disks involved. Also my latest acquired movies stil play on Plex while I am pretty sure they must be on the latest added disk (Disk 5). Grateful for any help or tips! Thanks in advance. Tuinboon tuinboon-diagnostics-20210915-0813.zip tuinboon-syslog-20210915-0648.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
You should really avoid USB devices for array or pools, there are lots of disconnect errors on the log, reboot, start array and post new diags. Quote Link to comment
Tuinboon
Thanks for your Reply JorgeB. I tried reboot but it wouldn’t. Had to hard reset the HP. Than unplug all drives for it to be able to startup again. Disk 5 did miraculously mounted and both Parity and Disk 5 have 0 read errors. Remaining the problem of the Paritydisk in error state. Thanks for helping me. tuinboon-diagnostics-20210916-0810.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
You can resync parity but like mentioned using USB drives you're likely to run into more issues in the near future. Quote Link to comment
