I am wondering in step three of this guide it states to turn shares that use cache drives to Yes.

The point of setting them to cache-yes is so Mover will move from cache to array (exactly as it says in that wiki). Then later in the process you set them to cache-prefer so mover will move from array to cache.

 

Mover ignores cache-no and cache-only shares.

Thanks for the reply, the explicit use Cache:yes confused me, just wanted to check. 

You can toggle Help for the whole webUI by using the Help (?) button on the main bar. You can also toggle help for a specific setting by clicking on its label.

It might make more sense if you think of the setting meaning where new files are to be initially put when they are created. You then need to look at what action mover will subsequently take (if any) to put them into their final location.
