Danilo_Thann69
I'm in the process of building a new unRAID server to replace my 7 year old one. I've got a LSI 9201-16i controller for the new system, I've got some 8TB Ironwolf SATA drives that I plan on migrating over to the new system, but a friend has some 10TB SAS drives he's offered to give me, but I've never messed with SAS drives yet but looking at the stats, I'm very interested in getting two 10TB 12Gbps SAS drives for free. Can I mix SATA and SAS drives with the LSI 9201-16i ? I realize if I put these two SAS drives in, I'll either have to make them my parity or get 10TB parity drives, but just in the thinking process at the moment. Thanks Chuck Quote Link to comment
