LSI 9240-8i Controller in Dell PowerEdge R710 Server?

I just bought a Dell PowerEdge R710 server along with an LSI 9240-8i controller.

 

Will this controller work with UnRaid? Or does anybody know if it'll even work with the server I bought?

 

Also, assuming the controller does work, the server I bought comes with a RAID controller (I don't know which one it is) and has 2 cables going from that RAID controller to terminate to SAS SFF-8087 into the backplane. Can I run 2 cables from the new LSI controller (SAS SFF-8087) to the original backplane (SAS SFF-8087)? Will that work?

9240-8i is a megaRAID controller, but it can be flashed to 9211 IT mode.

So, the controller the server came with is a PERC 6i. What about that one?

I'm not familiar with Dell controllers but I think that's also a RAID controller, and looks like an old model, so likely limited to 2TiB.
