November 10, 20214 yr Hey all, I'm pretty new here so please bear with me. I have a question about using standalone drives in UNRAID. I understand that the idea with unraid is to have this nice array with parity and everything but I'd still like to use a couple standalone drives. I've configured my array, which is just a single drive with a parity drive, for my important data but I want to also just have some drives which don't need any parity. Is the best way to do this with the Unassigned Devices plugin? Thank you

If you use Pools, the content of the drives can participate in User Shares. Pools can have one or several disks. Multidisks pools must be in BTRFS, single disk can be BTRFS or XFS.

I'll probably just use pools instead.
