November 19, 20214 yr Hello unRAID forums, I'm in need of your help! For good measure, I'm gonna start by listing my specs: Ryzen 5 2600 with stock køler. Asus Prime B450-Plus 32 GB RAM 8 disks (7 HDD, 1 SSD, and 1 NVMe) Nvidia Quadro P220 IBM ServeRAID M1015 (all disks are connected to this one) I've got a EMC STL KTN3 I'd like to add to the mix. From another site, I was pointed to this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/132059261390 But from I read, and I'm not even sure if it's right, I can either use my current 8 disks, OR those in the EMC STL KTN3. I was also linked this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/254224442983 Just so I won't have to take the side panel off and make it look a bit cleaner. Can anyone help me with this so I chose the right controller for the job?
November 19, 20214 yr If that's a straight shelf the HBA will work, you just need to connect one cable, some more info here: https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/emc-ktn-stl3-15-bay-chassis.23244/

And I can't seem to find the section in the link, about the one cable. I'm already aware of, that I might need to format them to 512 bit. This is a picture from behind:

November 20, 20214 yr By straight I just mean if it's direct connection or not, there's some info about that in the link I posted: Quote I have one of these, connected to a Dell H200 (flashed) Uses SAS/SATA drives interchangeably if you use the bottom controller. Make sure the chassis includes interposers, as they have multiple model numbers which can cause some issues. Reportedly, top controller only supports SAS, but i've never tested. You just need to do your own research, or try it, I don't one have to do it.

I've been trying before before making this post, but I'm asking because I'm not sure about it.
