Not long after that, during one of the monthly parity checks, I got a notification of 24 pending sectors on this disk. However, after running an extended SMART self-test check, I got the "completed without error" message. What that means? Should I trust the SMART self-test check? Was the pending sector warning a false alarm during the parity check? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
ChatNoir Posted December 4, 2021 Share Posted December 4, 2021 Difficult to provide an advice on the status of a drive without seeing more. Attach your diagnostics to your next post (and tell us what drive had the issue). A pending sector can be removed, but in your position, I would keep an eye on the drive. Quote Link to comment
