Unraid caching lots of RAM (solved)

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I have a new unraid installation and when I go into system stat, I see that I have 10GB used, 22GB free and 90GB cached (120GB of ram). What is that caching all about? Is it like the cache pool for hdd but in rams? I see that it fluctuate a lot right now, I'm currently copying on a share 8TB of datas (brand new array).

Thank you!

Ok, so it's sort of what I was thinking, everything is fine. Good to have lots of ram then. Thanks!
