Notice [TOWER] - Parity check finished (11 errors)
Duration: 1 day, 8 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds. Average speed: 42.1 MB/s

No errors on any disks?

Should I just run another check with corrections?

Secondly' for some time now when i boot up from "Boot Unraid in GUI mode" it takes about 5 minutes before unraid starts loading? Is this a usb problem?

This is the files on my usb.

all those FSCK files indicate attempts to fix filesystem corruption. Booting from USB2 port is more reliable.

Do you have a flash backup?

No errors on any disks?

That is pretty slow. You must have port multipliers.

Do any of your disks have SMART warnings on the Dashboard page?

I have two SUPERMICRO AOC-SAT2-MV8 64-bit PCI-X133MHz SATA II (3.0Gb/s) Controller Cards and  8 onboard sata ports. Are the supermicro boards classed as multipliers?

Yes Disc 8 had two but I have no data on that disk apart from empty share folders.

# 1  Short offline       Completed without error       00%     19812  - just completed short test on disk 8

Doesn't matter if a disk has any data on it. Every bit of parity PLUS every bit of all other array disks must be reliably read to reliably rebuild every bit of a missing or failed disk. Parity contains none of your data and by itself can rebuild nothing.

Every disk in your array must be trustworthy whether or not it actually has any data on it.

If that is the only disk with SMART warnings, and you don't need it, you should New Config without it and rebuild parity.
