December 13, 20214 yr Author Thank you truel Quote all those FSCK files indicate attempts to fix filesystem corruption. Booting from USB2 port is more reliable. Do you have a flash backup? I have - 4 USB 2.0 Ports on my mother board I'm asuming I boot from usb 2 port Yes I do have a flash backup last one 25/11/21 Quote That is pretty slow. You must have port multipliers I have two SUPERMICRO AOC-SAT2-MV8 64-bit PCI-X133MHz SATA II (3.0Gb/s) Controller Cards and 8 onboard sata ports. Are the supermicro boards classed as multipliers? speed has varied over the years - examples below 2021-12-12, 10:07:03 1 day, 8 hr, 59 min, 59 sec42.1 MB/sOK 11 2021-02-02, 17:55:31 1 day, 5 hr, 25 min, 18 sec47.2 MB/sOK 0 2020-04-05, 17:54:04 1 day, 5 hr, 40 min, 19 sec46.8 MB/sOK 0 2019-01-20, 21:11:05 7 hr, 57 min, 53 sec174.4 MB/sOK 0 2017-11-14, 01:57:50 7 hr, 44 min, 10 sec179.6 MB/sOK 0 Quote Do any of your disks have SMART warnings on the Dashboard page? Every bit of parity PLUS every bit of all other array disks must be reliably read to reliably rebuild every bit of a missing or failed disk. Parity contains none of your data and by itself can rebuild nothing. Every disk in your array must be trustworthy whether or not it actually has any data on it. If that is the only disk with SMART warnings, and you don't need it, you should New Config without it and rebuild parity.
