Jurak
I just replaced the back plane that all of my hard drives plug into. Now when I start the server. I click start array and it starts to think then eventually times out. The back plan may not have been the issue with my hard drives, I have already replaced the cables from the back plane to the LSI card. I have also replaced the LSI card and now replaced the back plane. I have a 1000w power supply and a 600w power supply powering everything so I know there is plenty of power for this. It does start in maintenance mode that is how I got the diagnostic files. Please let me know what you find and how I can fix it, or point me to a forum that can walk me through it. JorgeB
After starting in normal mode get the syslog from the console: cp /var/log/syslog /boot/syslog.txt Quote Link to comment
Jurak
If you mean by starting normal by telling it to start the array that is where it just times out. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Yes, but you should still have console access, using a keyboard and monitor/IPMI or SSH. Quote Link to comment
