Can The Plugins be Moved/Installed on Cache?

Featured Replies

I installed a few essential plugins and Krusader docker before I got my cache drive. I already moved the docker.img and appdata to cache but can't find anything about plugins. I see them installed on the boot drive. Are they ok there?

EDIT: I did search around  - did not find direct answer.

The plugins are loaded into RAM at boot time just like the rest of the OS. No need for them to be on anything except the boot flash.

Thank you sir. Are plugins allow to write large amounts of data and if so do I specify where that is (such as the docker "appdata" folder) ?

Many plugins only have a small amount of configuration data, which is stored on flash and loaded at boot just like everything else in your configuration.

Some plugins are all about working with disks, such as Unassigned Devices, unBALANCE, and preclear. These might store a small amount of configuration information on flash.

What exactly is your question about? Writing to flash is generally minimal and infrequent.
