MAM59
Howdy! I've got this MoBo: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) , Version Rev X.0x American Megatrends Inc., Version 4204 BIOS Datum: Freitag, 25 Februar 2022 according to the system temp plugin I have a chip that is handled by the nct6775 driver. Reading temps works well, but the driver tells me that this chip also contains up to 5 dc/pwm fan controllers. They are not shown in the device's list so "pwmcontrol" tells me "no suitable driver found". Of course, I can control the fans in the BIOS and they are already set to a well (and silent) working cooling program that automatically adjusts fan speed. So "pwmcontrol" is not really needed. But what I like to see in the dashboard are the rotation speeds of the different fans, most important if a fan breaks down and speed is 0. So, what do I need to have an eye on the fans?
