May 8, 201115 yr Anyone know if I can access transmission from the web say over my computer at work or iphone? I tried connecting to my IP with the :9091 transmission port and could not connect. Would love to know if anyone can help. Thanks
May 8, 201115 yr you would need to do some port forwarding and some router settings would have to be changed to allow it to work. If you do do this then you will need a very strong password on the transmission interface. I would change the default port of 9091 to something completely random to make it slightly harder to find.

Thanks If you used the .conf file from the first post in my Transmission thread in the Customization forum it allows you to specify a username and password for protecting the transmission web interface.
