August 15, 20241 yr Hi, Im looking for a nice email archieve program in docker (easyest?) I dont need a complete mail server to send email or filter etc. Only want to download emails via Imap and view them. got gmail accounts and other email domain. Is that easy possible with this docker without setting up a whole mailserver?
November 16, 20241 yr Struggling to get my email working. I have it communicating according to a bounce from my work email. It states it cannot find the user at the server. Per the email listing, the account exists. Any help or ideas? Thanks! https://imgur.com/a/DTVpbgq

Clearly shows the correct incoming address, shows the user unknown... November 18, 20241 yr From the log, your mail sent from your corporate mail reaches your mail server, but can't find the receiver address there. How did you add your account to your local mailserver? Are you able to send a mail to yourself with your @athome email address, i.e., from [email protected] to xxxx or [email protected]?

I wanted to just use smtp2go, and forgo all the struggles of credibility. But I can't do that until I have a valid incoming address.
December 20, 20241 yr Where exactly can I make these settings? At first, setup the b environment variables /b and change b--hostname mail.example.com /b in the b Extra Parameters (advanced view)/b as needed. b example.com /b is the domain you are using. b mail.example.com /bis the FQDN of the mailserver. I can't find any setting option under "Show more settings..." I have setup an user with a local domain. Works perfectly. The emails still have on the unraid server the file name "...example.com..." Why? Next problem is SSL. I only want to use the mail server internally as a mail storage. self-signed certificates would be sufficient. However, if I select these, the mail server no longer works. Is there a step-by-step guide on how to set this up? Another question would be to switch off POP3. Where can I set: only IMAP (SSL)? Thanks Edited December 20, 20241 yr by Kono
February 16, 20251 yr I got this working! The discussion here was a big help. Question: Where have others located their mailbox files? I don't want to spin a HDD every time an email arrives or is read, but I can see the benefit of having the data protected by the array. Should I be concerned about the continuous activity on my main cache SSD? Maybe add a non-array SSD dedicated to email server files? Any suggestions on best practices? Thanks
April 17, 20251 yr Hello, I am unsure if this is an unraid issue or docker issue. I have the mail server docker installed to the latest version available on unraid community applications and I am on Unraid v7.0.1. I have the docker container set to not autostart, as I haven't finished setting it up yet. The issue is that when restarting the server the docker mail server ignores the no autostart toggle and starts anyway. It seems to be the only one of my dockers doing so as well. Not sure where best to report the issue though.
