Power Events Leading to Disks Not Being Detected

Featured Replies

Greetings,

I've been using Unraid for about 1.5 years and have had a relatively smooth experience. Starting a month or so ago, any power event--whether that be an unexpected outage or a clean shutdown/reboot-- seems to make 1-4 disks (out of 8 ) go undetected. Usually the fix is to shut everything down and reseat the cables for the disk(s) in question.

Additionally, it now seems that Unraid is rejecting a new parity disk for some reason.

A lot going on I know but any tips on where to start would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Parity2 problem look more like power/connection problem, likely a connection if these aren't old:

199 UDMA_CRC_Error_Count -O--CK 198 001 000 - 21841

Thank you. I think I’m going to try replacing the SFF-8643 cables first. I appreciate you taking a look.
