June 7, 20224 yr Need assistance on getting unRAID to boot after shutdown. I have to go into my ASUS bios and select my USB drive after every shutdown. It won't automatically boot from USB after shutdown I have to go into the bios and select my USB drive to get it to boot from USB. This is a pain... Any assistance I would appreciate it. June 7, 20224 yr Community Expert check if your usb stick is set to UEFI (rename EFI- folder to EFI) and turn off CSM in your bios. It should boot the stick fine now (unless you have another disk with a valid UEFI partition, like a passed through disk to a VM)
January 2, 20242 yr Community Expert I had some odd behaviour with my boot drive.. I toggled all of the boot settings in the BIOS and moved the USB Stick to an external port - then after it booted successfully, I moved it back to the internal port and it's been fine since - This also stopped the logs filling with USB port reassignments.
