May 25, 201115 yr I cannot access my Unraid server at all. I try to access it via web browser, not luck. I try to telnet to it via name and by ip, no luck. I can ping the server's ip and get a response. I have reset the server, and reset all my networking equipment multiple times, no change. What do I do?
May 25, 201115 yr Author I put a monitor and keyboard on the server, it boots, and I can login. I have checked all the cables inside the server as well.

May 26, 201115 yr Author Thanks for the help, I ran all the commands: I tried pinging again, it failed. MountSeems proper, it displays my /boot vfat and then all six discs such as /devl/md5 on /mnt/disk5 type reiserfs ifconfig eth0Shows me the hardware number (mac address?) but no ip address or gateway. Running just ifconifg shows "local loopback" inet 127.0.0.1 and gateway 255.0.0.0 I switched cables to a known-good cable, rebooted network hardware and server, not change in ifconfig eth0 Ethtool eth0speed 1000 mb/s full duplex with wake-on=g link detected: yes ls -l /bootDisplays the contents of root in green, e.g. bzimage, bzroot, config, etc. ls -l /dev/disc/by-idGives me the error "no such file or directory"
May 26, 201115 yr Do you see a link light on the interface, where the cable plugs in? Have you tried a different port on the switch/router? Have there been any changes to the interface, or BIOS, or was it working then just vanished from the network?
May 26, 201115 yr Author Yes there is a light on the motherboard network connection, and on my router. I have tried different ports as well. There have been no changes to the server, it happened while I was travelling for work actually, my wife could not access the server that worked before I left.
May 26, 201115 yr Author I purchased a PCI Gigabit Network card and installed it in the server and disabled the on-board. Voila, server now up and running perfectly, so the onboard network card had died.

As far as: ls -l /dev/disc/by-idGives me the error "no such file or directory" Try spelling disk the same way I did... with a "k" ls -l /dev/disk/by-id
