SSl Certificate

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I recentely ran this command openssl req -new -key server.key -out server.csr in order to get a server.key and server.csr file, but I am having trouble locating where it is located.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Hi ljm42,

Thanks for the help, I was able to find the file.

I'm trying to setup a hostname with an SSL so that my friends can join my game servers through an address securely.

However, it still doesn't seem like the unRaid is picking up the certificate and connecting to No-IP, or viceversa.

After doing some research, would you say a Reverse Proxy would be the best way to get this to work?

Most games use protocols other than http or https, so an SSL cert is not really relevant. A domain name pointing to your WAN IP, and forwarding the correct ports through your firewall is typically what you need. If your WAN IP is not directly routable, or your ISP has firewalls in place that you can't open, then hosting a game server may not be possible.
