mrklaw
So I have my unRAID set up, and I'm starting to move my different device/document backups to point to unRAID instead of external USB drives etc. Great. But what about online backup? I have a drop box account for my documents, but want to start backing up my photos (possibly my most precious asset) online. Only about 15GB so far but growing a couple of GB a year. Ignoring service providers for now (but feel free to pitch in with suggestions), does it make much difference if I back up from my computer to unRAID, and then unRAID handles the upload, or just upload directly from my computer? The computer won't be on 24/7, but I guess after the initial sync, future ones shouldn't take too much time? Just that the sync to unRAID would be quicker and then I can leave it chugging away uploading are there good unRAID apps to do this? Link to comment
NAS
Have a look around the forum for CrashPlan. That should give you a lot of discussion on this topic. It isn't drop box but potentially is a better end to end fit for you Link to comment
