"MSI Fix" in Linux VM?

Featured Replies

I have been using a Windows VM and passing in my Nvidia GPU through for my gaming system. On Windows I would get crackling sound and needed to do the "MSI fix" for it to go away. I've since switched to a Linux based VM since all the games I play run fine with Proton.

The problem is that I'm getting crackling audio on my linux VMs now. I've tried Pop_OS and Fedora now, but they both do the same thing. Do I need to do something similar to the MSI fix in linux? Or could it be something else entirely?
