teempleer
Hi, I'm experiencing an issue after upgrading from unraid 6.9.1 to 6.10.3. In the previous version, commands from the pm-utils package were available out of the box in my unraid system. For example: # which pm-suspend /usr/sbin/pm-suspend After upgrading to 6.10.3, those commands are no longer there: # which pm-suspend which: no pm-suspend in (.:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin) I downgraded to 6.9.1, and was able to use pm-utils again no problem. Pm-utils, or pm-suspend more precisely, are a key dependency in my setup, so unfortunately this is a breaking change preventing me from upgrading to the latest version. I upgraded directly from 6.9.1 to 6.10.3, so unfortunately I'm unsure which version removed pm-utils. What I did so far: 1. Searched forums for "pm-utils" and "pm-suspend" to see if it was mentioned in the release notes or anyone's recent posts. I wasn't able to find anything helpful. 2. Tried looking into Nerd Pack, but unfortunately pm-utils aren't available through there. Can you clarify why the pm-utils package was removed from unraid distribution? Is there a plan to add it back? If not, what alternatives are there (without docker etc., I'd like the command to be available on the bare system to keep my existing scripts working). Thank you in advance! Solution limetech Posted September 9, 2022 Solution Share Posted September 9, 2022 pm-utils was replaced by elogind - sorry I don't use that tool so didn't notice the change. try: loginctl suspend Quote Link to comment
teempleer
I suspected pm-utils were deprecated in favor of a new tool, but "elogind" and "loginctl" didn't come up in my google searches. Anyhow, all I had to do is replace pm-suspend with loginctl suspend, and everything works fine again. Thank you! 1 Quote Link to comment
