Can't add my drive to unRaid server array (SG_FORMAT command interrupted)

Small story for everyone

 

Bought 8x900GB drives from some random bloke on the internet, he sad one of the drives is broken because he interrupted SG_FORMA. My question is can I fix it or just dump it.

 

Server

Dell poweredge R320

Raid controller: H710 mini with IT mode

You need to remove this to be able to use them in Unraid:

Formatted with type 2 protection

 

So try re-formatting them without it, more info below:

Solution is: format your drive

(replace the drive name with yours)

 

sg_format --format --fmtpinfo=0 /dev/sdh

 

Sooo this is the end of it !
