Whole server dies when VM with graphics card starts

Featured Replies

The title describes my problem quite well. When I start a VM (graphics card: actual graphics card, not vnc) then the server dies shortly after.

I would love to upload a log file but i simply don't know how to create one. The Fix Common Problems Plugin suggested to install mcelog via the NerdPack but NerdPack never finishes loading.

I did notice it in the changelog, that Perl is now added to UnRaid, but I figured it would let me know I no longer need the NerdPack - and it did.

Maybe you have a similar dependency and issue? I just removed NerdPack.

I removed NerdPack but as I thought that didn't solve the problem.

It is tuff to say without knowing more about your set up. My guess would be a configuration error somewhere. I would double check your VM setup and make sure you have your cpu assigned correctly and that you have the correct pairs selected for the threads. You may also need to check to make sure nothing else is trying to use the gpu once you pass it through to a vm nothing else can use it.
