mv_dev
I recently create a new server for Unraid and when I transferred the usb with Unraid and the pc every time I choose the USB stick on the boot menu redirect me on the bios screen, I can't figure out what the problem is, because: The usb stick is fully working (tested on the old server and tested separate on a pc and all the file are readable); The pc can boot by usb because I want to tested before use Unraid, I started Ubuntu by a usb on live environment; All the disk, ssd and the usb stick are recognized by the bios; I tried different tipe port and port but all with the same resultant. Please try to respond, Thanks. Old server config: 2x Intel Xeon E5606; Fujitsu branded Motherboard; 24gb ram ecc (6x4gb); 4x 1tb hdd sata; 120gb ssd sata for cache. New server config: Amd Ryzen 5950x; Asus Proart x570 wifi; 32gb ram Crucial Ballistrix 3600mhz (2x16gb); SAME 4x 1tb hdd sata; SAME 120gb ssd sata for cache. Quote Link to comment
Solution itimpi Posted October 2, 2022 Solution Share Posted October 2, 2022 Are you trying to boot in legacy or UEFI mode? For UEFI mode the Unraid flash drive needs the trailing ~ character removing from the EFI folder name. Quote Link to comment
