MP715
This is a fresh install on an HPE Microserver Gen8. RAID controller is disabled in BIOS and I'm using the internal SATA controller. I tried installing TrueNAS Scale and the drives are detected correctly. I've tried searching the forums with no luck. I can see the drives in tools->system devices although they are SATA drives not SCSI. I can also see the drives in shell if i run lsblk -l or fdisk -l. However, I can only logon to the shell from the console, not webgui. Just hangs and says "Reconnecting" over and over. I would attach diagnostics but when I try to download, it just hangs with bouncing dots at the bottom. I'm going to try creating a new USB stick. Any suggestions would be appreciated. EDIT: it seems the diagnostics were generated but I had to SCP them to my laptop. JorgeB
Not clear if you cannot see the disks in the GUI or cannot access the GUI? Quote Link to comment
MP715
I am able to access the GUI. Although anything involving a pop-up message isn't working. If I click on release notes for example. It's just a blank white page with release notes at the too. Shell won't work either. Just flashes "Reconnecting" over and over. Quote Link to comment

MP715
I believe I'm running 6.11.1 it updated yesterday. Any ideas in not seeing my drives in the gui? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Disks are being detected, looks more like a config problem, try booting in safe mode, if still issues try with a fresh flash drive install, just to see if the GUI works correctly. Quote Link to comment
MP715
I tried a fresh flash. This is a brand new install. Quote Link to comment

Huh! That worked as expected. The local GUI let's me choose drives. The web GUI is blank. I went ahead and did it and now they appear in the GUI. Some kind of bug? EDIT: ok, I take that back. Still weird problems. I was able to create the array in the local GUI but I still cannot view it through the WebUI. Also, on the dashboard, the CPU or Memory graphs don't show any utilization and I can't see the disks in the array section. Nor under "Main". I've tried Chrome, Firefox, and Brave Edited October 8, 2022 by MP715 Quote Link to comment

Solution MP715 Posted October 8, 2022 Author Solution Share Posted October 8, 2022 Ughh!! Found the damn problem. It was the application filter on my firewall. Blocking some WebApp called "Websock" I whitelisted it and now it's working as it should. That was frustrating! I appreciate your help. 1 Quote Link to comment
