Stembo
I use the unassigned device for recording my camera's. It is an external HDD that is connected to USB. Sometimes i can not reach it. When going into the main tab on my server i see the disk and next to it it says Reboot but i can not click on it. When i reboot my server i can mount it again but after a while i get the same message.. It is a new HDD and a new HDD enclosure. Included a Syslog file and image of what i see. I use unraid basic 6.11.1 server-syslog-20221024-1105.zip Quote Link to comment
dlandon
The "Reboot" notation is when a disk is improperly unmounted. You are getting errors in your log related to the disk share: Oct 24 12:59:59 Server smbd[10708]: make_connection_snum: '/mnt/disks/Camera' does not exist or permission denied when connecting to [Camera] Error was Input/output error Oct 24 12:59:59 Server smbd[10708]: [2022/10/24 12:59:59.185551, 0] ../../source3/smbd/smb2_service.c:830(make_connection_snum) Oct 24 12:59:59 Server smbd[10708]: make_connection_snum: '/mnt/disks/Camera' does not exist or permission denied when connecting to [Camera] Error was Input/output error Oct 24 12:59:59 Server smbd[10708]: [2022/10/24 12:59:59.186321, 0] ../../source3/smbd/smb2_service.c:830(make_connection_snum) Try another USB port, or change the cable. Next time please attach the complete diagnostics file. A syslog only doesn't always provide enough information. Quote Link to comment
Stembo
I changed the cable and the port but no succes. If i'm correct i get this because the disk is disconnecting? Attached a full diagnostic server-diagnostics-20221024-1436.zip Quote Link to comment
dlandon
1 hour ago, Stembo said: If i'm correct i get this because the disk is disconnecting? Probably. UD thinks the disk was not unmounted correctly and then showed back up. Can you connect the disk using sata instead of USB? I'll take a look at your diagnostics. Quote Link to comment
