USB Drive Recovery | after Failed/Forgoten Password Reset

Featured Replies

Hi

Returning user after being out for a  couple off months, I had forgotten my password

so hard reset the password, I guess during that time the key became unbootable. How

to proceed. I have access to Linux and Windows but attempts to make the drive bootable

fail as in running the file to make the drive bootable from within Linux.

I would like to repair the usb key I think what happened is that while deleting the password

files on the usb-key some how, some other files got deleted/changed/.......  I previously/recently

had to get a newkey license file maid by support, so replacing the key-physically is not as

simple as downloading keyfile -/- and making a new usbkey. Its within the year.

Are you still trying to boot via legacy mode or are you now trying UEFI?

If it is UEFI, check that EFI directory is not called EFI- if it is rename it to EFI and see if that fixes the boot issue?

Hi

Whatever it was at the start  :/ I am having problems even displaying data to screen.

I have not upgraded to the latest version yet. I can confirm looking at my key it is EFI dir

not EFI-

Sorry for the vague reply.
