Parity sync errors

Featured Replies

Hello, yesterday by some reason my box started to do parity check (there was no hang ups and shut downs)

Now first time i am seeing Sync errors corrected: 154961

I logs I can see error in logs -

Nov 27 00:35:59 Fortress kernel: pcieport 0000:00:1d.0: AER: Corrected error received: 0000:78:00.0

Nov 27 00:35:59 Fortress kernel: nvme 0000:78:00.0: PCIe Bus Error: severity=Corrected, type=Physical Layer, (Receiver ID)

Nov 27 00:35:59 Fortress kernel: nvme 0000:78:00.0: device [15b7:5011] error status/mask=00000001/0000e000

Also as notifications I see something like this for diffent sectors.

Nov 26 17:30:12 Fortress kernel: md: recovery thread: P corrected, sector=1024

My NVME drives are almost new...

What can be wrong with my system? Can  this be related with drive which one before was empty, but now got some data on it?

The PCIe errors are likely unrelated, but this might help with those.

As for the parity errors, run another check if more errors are found start by running memtest.
