Greetings & salutations, 

    I'm a new user to unRAID OS, and the forums. I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to everyone. I just finished building my server yesterday, and am actually in the process precleaning my drives as we speak. I wanted to say thank you in advance before I post anything because this forum, and the wiki has helped a lot with my build. This is also my first official server, but second build. My first build I just repurposed an old desktop PC I received second hand, and ran plex from it through Unbuntu. I've wanted to build an actual server for years to back up my personal files (family photos, home movies, etc...), run plex, put my steam games on, etc... so I'm very happy to finally getting around to it. I got a little jumpy on the build, and made a few mistakes on the way such as ordering a wifi card for my board, and ordering an 8 port pcie sata hub prior to finding out that they are incompatible with unraid. My wifi mistake was mainly because I wanted to put bluetooth on the server to connect my logitech keyboard, but I figured it be nice to have wifi as well just in case. As far as the SATA goes, I read reviews on Amazon that the board was compatible with unraid, but clearly that was for the 4-6 port PCIE cards, as I found a forum post later saying 8 was not supported (please correct me if I'm wrong and that is now out of date). Yesterday, I went ahead and ordered a SAS to SATA  LSI 9201-8i from theartoftheserver off of ebay per forum recommendations. I'm skeptical when it comes to ordering used electronics epsecially off Ebay, but I saw a lot of people here, and on the unraid reddit say he is pretty reliable when it comes to his parts, and since he flashes the HBA's it's a win win. Anyway that's why I went with 8 port at first off Amazon. I like the forum from what I've read so far looking forward to meeting the regulars.
