December 23, 20223 yr Community Expert Compare the contents of the emulated disk with those of the Unassigned physical disk. If the physical disk looks good you can New Config it back into the array and rebuild parity instead of rebuilding the data disk. Another possibility is to rebuild the data disk to a spare, and keep the original disk as a backup so you can compare more carefully and copy any missing files from it later.
