December 24, 20223 yr Been using unraid for over a decade this is the first time something like this has happened. Some time between now and the last few weeks one of my shared was deleted. I haven't even done anything in unraid in over a month and I definitely didn't delete a share. Luckily it wasn't that important and I had a backup, but want to make sure none of my critical data is at risk. Is there any way of tracking down what happened? December 24, 20223 yr By and large, the most common reason for a share being deleted is someone actually deleted it. Alternatively, some apps (eg: Plex et al) have options to automatically delete file(s) that haven't been accessed in a while Also, file system errors can make it *seem* like the share is gone when in reality the disk(s) are just corrupted and have errors on them. Diagnostics would help on this one
December 24, 20223 yr Author Even if Plex could delete content automatically it wouldn't remove the share itself. I don't have any signs of disk corruption and I checked each disk individually for the content. I couldn't have deleted it from my windows interface because it won't allow that (tested on empty share). I am attaching my diags. tower-diagnostics-20221224-1033.zip
December 24, 20223 yr Community Expert What was the name of the share? Are you sure you didn't move under another share?
December 24, 20223 yr Community Expert I see these in diagnostics M----3 shareUseCache="no" # Share does not exist N--------r shareUseCache="no" # Share does not exist

You have this plugin installed which lets you work with files directly on the server from the webUI dynamix.file.manager.plg - 2022.11.10 (Up to date) In any case Diagnostics has this M---c shareUseCache="no" # Share exists on disk3 Maybe that is the share you are speaking of? Post a screenshot of User Shares page.
December 25, 20223 yr Author That's the share, but I'm guessing the time stamp is from this morning when I recreated it.
December 25, 20223 yr Community Expert What do you get from the command line with this? ls -lah /mnt/disk3
