I am wanting to build an unraid server this year.  My goal is to buy a part each paycheck.  I bought an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G as my processor.  Was going to find a motherboard next.  I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions that would help make this server fast.  Would welcome all suggestions and why.

Thanks,

EZ

Welcome!

I am wondering the same thing. I wonder if anyone member has sourced a motherboard that supports this apu and ECC DDR4 memory.

Are there any issues with this AMD apu and Unraid.

I know all about the pc part picker website, but I am asking from an Unraid perspective.

Cheers & many thanks...

If my memory serves me correctly, Ryzen APU's (i.e. the "G" versions with built in graphics) do not support ECC unless they are a PRO model. So the 5600G would not support ECC, regardless of if the motherboard does.
