January 10, 20233 yr Parity and drive 4 showing incorrect Sata speeds. Seems like I always have a drive or two showing slower speeds. I stop the array and reseat and then it shows the correct speed. I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to fix this problem permanently. Diag's attached. Thanks! oohwee-diagnostics-20230110-1205.zip
January 10, 20233 yr Author I just rebooted and now the parity drive shows 6 Gb but now ONLY disc 1 is @ 3 Gb. Nothing changed, Disk 1 was @6 Gb before the reboot...
January 11, 20233 yr Community Expert If you are referring to this Jan 9 21:38:17 OohWee kernel: ata6: SATA link up 6.0 Gbps (SStatus 133 SControl 300) Doesn't matter for spinners, 3G is enough
January 11, 20233 yr Community Expert SATA1 will limit speed, if you've already replaced cables try swapping with a disk using a different controller.
