Network Problems

Featured Replies

Hi,

Hoping someone could help me, when i try to play a file from my unraid system either using a media centre pc with xbmc or my laptop the system hangs and wont play.

A bit of background:

I recently upgraded all my drives and while doing this something happened with the Mobo bios and it wouldn't go any further than the POST screen. I upgraded the bios to the latest ver. and all seemed fine.

Looking at my syslog it seems to be a network error, but i cant figure it out. Nothing in the Bios seems to help, the mobo has 2 Lan ports, both give the same problems.

I'm running 4.7

snippet from my syslog below

With 4.7 you might try adding the kernel option:

 pci=nomsi

Just in case, it goes in your /boot/syslinux.cfg, or \\tower\flash\syslinux.cfg, depending on how you look at it.

Find this line:

 append initrd=bzroot

And add it like so:

 append initrd=bzroot pci=nomsi

But yes, we need to know more about the board.
