FaultyPants
I broke my Unraid USB at the worst possible time. I have reinstalled Unraid on my new USB but have no back-up. The manual states to contact the forum about reassigning the drives in the proper order to prevent data loss but does not really give further details on troubleshooting. Quote To ensure no data loss after the server is booted, you will need to make sure you assign each disk to the array / cache exactly as it was prior to the failure. If you do not know which disks were assigned where, create a post in the forum for further assistance. Please advise! Thank you. Edited January 12, 2023 by FaultyPants Quote Link to comment
itimpi
You should find this section of the online documentation accessible via the ‘Manual’ link at the bottom of the GUI or the DOCS link at the top of each forum page to be of use. Quote Link to comment
FaultyPants
If there were no parity drives is that section still relevant? Quote Link to comment

That section is about avoiding inadvertently assigning data drives to a parity slot so it then gets wiped. If you have no parity drives then order is probably not critical unless you have shares set to include/exclude specific drives. If so that is easily corrected. Quote Link to comment
