January 19, 20233 yr Hi I'm currently running a data rebuild because I exchanged a 16 GB for a 12 GB. so I'm just a little unsure. The rebuild started normally but I get Unmountable: Wrong or no file system displayed. Does this change after the rebuild is complete or should I have formatted the hard drive again in the field below? Thanks and Greetings

How long does the filesystem check works ? about 20 hours for 16 TB ? Phase 1 - find and verify superblock... bad primary superblock - bad magic number !!! attempting to find secondary superblock... ......................................

January 19, 20233 yr Author Preclear test for this disk was good before I start the rebuild. It is a new disk. Edited January 19, 20233 yr by platoboos
January 19, 20233 yr Community Expert According to blkid disk1 is btrfs, stop array, click on disk1, change fs to btrfs, start array.

I have the old 12 TB disk with the data under Unassigned Devices. I format disk 1 to XFS and restore then the data of the old 12 TB disk, right ?
