Tried to set static address now can no longer reach the server

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I had these settings beforehand

image.png.9a70f3a95c314ba706fa083e2b5b82ac.png

I then updated the IPv4 address to static and gave it an address of

192.168.7.1

When the config refreshed I was no longer able to reach the server on any address. Not the old, the new OR the IP the router was assigning it. So when I connect to ASUS Router it can see the tower when I leave DHCP on (it does not see the tower when DHCP is turned off at all). When the router sees the tower IP and I try then ping/connect to that IP at all it gets removed from the router table and appears back some time later.

Pretty stuck what to do here. Tried connecting ethernet direct from pc to unraid server and I can't get anything to show/connect directly. Have I stuffed the box by trying to set a static IP?

thanks

You can reset the network by deleting /config/network.cfg from the USB boot drive using another computer

If you want to set a static address make sure it is the same subnet as your router.
