pfSense plus and Boot Enviroment

Featured Replies

Hello, All,

is it possible to install in Unraid VM pfSense plus and Boot Environment?

John

Probably. Is it a good idea? Probably not.

I currently run pfsense ce in a VM on one of my Unraid boxes. I keep current backups and can quickly migrate to a bare metal install if needed. I would never consider NOT having a bare metal router firewall available on demand.

so should I install the CE or the plus version?

I wasn't aware there was an installer for the plus version.

Link?

Was looking for it but cant find the link. I guess i should install the ce version and add the Key that you get via email when you register

Are you passing through a supported network card with multiple ports?

I got an unused HP NC365T 4 ports in my Ryzen Box.

To run "Plus" you use the CE installer and then provide your "Plus" serial #. It then converts it to a "Plus" install.
It is offered free (no charge) for home & lab now.
You "buy" plus but at a zero $ cost and they send you the serial # by email.

choose the "Home or Lab" and select "No Charge" to proceed to check out.
