July 27, 201114 yr Hi all, I have been using unraid quite happily for a period of time. I have sab setup on unraid and its running fine but I would like to use the giganews vpn offer on my unraid box. I have scoured the forum and wiki but could not find anything really concrete on how to setup a VPN server to create a PPTP connection or Open VPN etc on the unraid box. Has anyone successfully done this and if so could you point me in the right direction to set this up? I don't have the luxury of using a router to setup this up as I have cable modem / router which is fairly heavily locked down from any custom setup including DD-WRT so need to do this direct from the unraid box. I am also aware of the security risks associated with this as well. Thanks everyone!
August 3, 201114 yr I just got one of these: http://www.buy.com/pr/product.aspx?sku=220694326 It comes with DD-WRT installed. Set the Buffalo up as a DMZ host and have your modem/router forward everything to the DMZ host. You can then configure a VPN as you like. Edit: Or you can search for "openSSH" + "SSH Tunnel"

Have you been able to set up VPN client on your DD-WRT router? I am currently trying, and i have been unable to do so. Ive tried following the instructions on the GigaNews website to no avail!
