July 27, 201114 yr Hello, I have built up my unRiad Server the last 2 Weeks. Rght now I have a Plus System with 5 2TB Hitach Drives. The Parity Drive is a Hitachi_HDS72202 the other 4 for the Arry are Hitachi_HDS5C302. The funny thing is only 1 disc out of the 4 didn't spin down automatically. It is the second disc in the array. Somebody has an idea. I use a Win7 System and on the unRaid Server, Twonky and the Printer Server, thats all.

July 27, 201114 yr What version of unRaid? There was an issues in some of the 5.0 betas that caused the drive spindown settings to be set wrong. GUI looks fine - only by looking in the config file could this be detected.
July 28, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the reply. I use the 4.7 stable release version. Which config file to you mean? Sorry I'm still not into this. I was also thinking about Twonky and checked everything. The point was that I have used the automatic change for the picture resolution. After disable the function and a restart of the server everything looks fine. But right now I saw again that the drive is still up, and everything else has spinned down. After the manuall spin down the harddrive keeps to spin up again, but no sign of writing or reading. The only thing that is different to the other discs, that on this are pictures and music, the other have righth now only movie files.
July 29, 201114 yr Author I found the reason. It is my Windows System. I assume that a Multimedia Programm is looking into the Mp3 Files that I have on this harddrive. After shoutdown of Win7 the drive is going correct into spin down and stays there. Right now I have to look which programm makes this issue.
