[SOLVED]Disk Temperature 41C

Featured Replies

I have case fans blowing on these disks, should I be concerned? Wondering if I should replace this drive before the worst comes.

The unRaid array is resync/rebuilding parity.

Parity CHECK/RESYNC in progress,  63.9% complete,  est. finish in 151.8 minutes. Speed: 77307 kb/s.

EADS drives seem to easily run up to that temperature. I have 7 of them in my raid and during parity check they're all in the 40-42 range. Doesn't seem to harm them and spec sheet says they're rated up to 60C. If the temperatures are stable at 41ish, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

41 during a parity check is not much to worry about.

I have a couple drives that reach 47ish during parity checks right now.  They run at that temp for 8-10 hours during the check and then go back to "normal." If they ran at that temp during normal operation then I would be concerned.

Ok I'll stop worrying about it then.  eh
