Far be it from me to kick a sale in the proverbial mouth, but is there any chance that these are going to be discontinued?  Is that why  they are on sale?  If so, I'll jump on two of them ASAP - if that's unlikely, I can hold off a bit.

Given that my new motherboard has one x4 and one x8 slot and I want to get to 20 drives, it was easy.  Buy one SASLP now on sale for the x4 slot, and buy the next card (SASLP or SAS2LP) when I expand.  Remember that SAS2LP requires an x8 and SASLP requires x4.
