August 5, 201114 yr The motherboard has a PCIe slot, but you choose a PCI SATA card. Those two are incompatible. Use a PCIe card instead. If you only need 2 additional SATA ports, then there are some cheap SIL3132 cards available. They are less than $20 from Monoprice in the US, but I don't know where you can get them in Canada.
