Unmountable: Wrong or no file system

Featured Replies

Shutdown my server because I had to do some rearranging in my room and after turning it back on, suddenly my Disk 4 is unmountable. The status indicates "Unmountable: Wrong or no file system". When I view Disk 4 in maintenance mode, it states "xfs_repair status: Not available". I'm not sure what to do from here as I do not want to lose my data. If anyone has any advice, please let me know! Diagnostics attached.

Sorry I should have included that. The filesystem is xfs.

Checking the Fileystem Status, I get this output "Phase 1 - find and verify superblock... would write modified primary superblock Primary superblock would have been modified. Cannot proceed further in no_modify mode. Exiting now.".

It seems as if xfs_repair is not available, as it stated before the check.

Run it again without -n or nothing will be done.

I reran it without -n, I will attach the output.

It states at the end "Please reset with mount -o sunit=,swidth= if necessary". Where would I do this?

Now start the array in normal mode and the disk should mount again.

Thank you. It was just that easy eh? Didn't want to proceed and mess anything up.

Much appreciated.
