July 11, 20232 yr As in the title, something happened to my server yesterday, and when I try to boot up, I'm stuck at the unRAID blue screen (https://imgur.com/a/P7YDL1x). I tried recreating the USB Drive with the unRAID USB creator on both Mac and Windows, again running into the same issue. Would this occur if I have an issue with RAM, too? Any specific thoughts for solutions? More recently, I also tried starting up and pressing Return/Enter repeatedly, which led to the system proceeding to load bzimage, and bzroot, but it then hangs on another screen. Here’s a screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/Xf3NBhc I wonder if my motherboard is having an issue of some type? Or if there's an issue with the RAM? (Though memtest86 looked okay when I initially started it, but only completed one pass). Any thoughts? Edited July 11, 20232 yr by joshsalvi
July 12, 20232 yr Community Expert Try resetting the board CMOS and removing all add-on cards, then try booting again with a different flash drive using a stock Unraid install, no key needed, if it still doesn't boot you likely have a board/CPU/RAM issue.
July 12, 20232 yr Author I’ll give this a shot. Right now it’s been turning on and off repeatedly, so I’ll try this again tonight. If I need to replace the motherboard, I might seek guidance on a good option in another thread. One that can accommodate 8 HDDs, 2 SSDs, 1-2 NVMe, and preferably still use my ECC RAM. I’ve had good luck with Xeon processors but variable with ASRock boards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
