ZFS drives reading constantly

Recommended Posts

After upgrading to 6.12 I went through the process of converting my cache drive and 1 array disk to ZFS.  The drive on my array that I converted to ZFS is used for storage and is not normally accessed and almost never spins up in routine use (used for backups occasionally).

For some reason since converting to ZFS, I get constant reads on the array drive that never really stops.  The cache drive also has an extremely high amount of reads without anything going on with the server.  I tried updating to the latest rc release to see if it would get fixed and it hasn't.

I have attached an example image showing how the ZFS drives are being read an extreme amount and I have attached my diagnostics files.

Thanks,

Vik

Having this issue too, on 6.12.2 - ZFS Master doesn't exist for me, (it did a few weeks ago as i wanted to check it out though).

There's nothing actually on the array either, other than my media.
Everything 'active' is on a ZFS pool, and the only thing that can access the media is Jellyfin, which is off right now.

Seemed fine on 6.12.1

You need to try and find out what's reading or writing to it, there's a plugin that may help:

I am having the same issue.

Aparently these files are being used:
** Disk 1 **
Jul 29 18:19:03 CREATE => /mnt/disk1/1616079831.tmp
Jul 29 18:19:03 OPEN => /mnt/disk1/1616079831.tmp
Jul 29 18:19:03 MODIFY => /mnt/disk1/1616079831.tmp
Jul 29 18:19:03 OPEN => /mnt/disk1/1616079831.tmp
Jul 29 18:19:03 DELETE => /mnt/disk1/1616079831.tmp

I am not sure where they come from...

Apparently it was the ZFS plugin that kept spinning up my drives every time I entered the Main tab....
