map usb devices ttyusb0

Featured Replies

Hey guys

i have a zigbee stick running in home assistant VM and since a week i have a 3D printer which is running in octoprint docker, but both devices switch from day to day from ttyusb0 and ttyusb1 back and forth...

is there some way to map one usb device to exactly ttyusb0 so that no other device can use this port?

can you provide a bit more info on how they used, i.e. do you pass into a VM/Docker.

can you not use by-id as the path?

root@computenode:/dev/serial/by-id# ls

That magically solves my problem, thank you! :D
So zigbee2mqtt now has always the same device... and octoprint doesnt really care if its usb0 or 1 it just connects anyway xD
