This Gigabyte board uses the nvidia chipset, there were issues with the SATA ports on some nvidia chipset versions so you might want to do some searching through the forums to see if this is one that has problems. Also, some of the gigabyte boards have a feature where they save a backup copy of the BIOS directly to one of the hard drives, this can cause problems with unRAID (look for "gigabyte HPA problem"). True - but many of them allow the feature to be disabled in the BIOS settings so that the feature cannot cause a problem. In some Gigabyte board BIOS builds it is disabled as the default setting.
